The Early Access release trailer is the fastest look at what the loop actually is: pixel-art biomes generating fresh, a settlement going up out of straw and wood, farming and crafting stations, and the descent underground where the bosses and ore live. The store gallery is better for reading the UI and the inventory.

What is Delverium?

Delverium is a pixel-art survival sandbox fantasy adventure from Sagestone Games for one to eight players, released into Steam Early Access on September 21, 2026 for Windows at $9.99 during its launch discount. The official description sets the shape of it: explore, build, farm, craft and fight across a procedurally generated world, recruit NPCs into a settlement, and push into dungeons to uncover the secret of the invading "Faults" that have destabilised the land.

What separates it from the harsher end of the survival shelf is what it leaves out. The developer states in the Steam discussions that there is currently no hunger, thirst, stamina or durability, that there is no inventory drop on death — only the loss of exploration progress when you respawn at your spawn point — and that character and world saves can be made at any time, though reloading despawns enemies and loses items left on the ground. A valid room, which needs a bed, walls, doors, flooring and a light source, houses NPCs and doubles as a spawn point, so base building is also your shortcut back.

The Early Access framing is honest about the trade. The developer describes the launch build as fully playable and highly polished with the core loops, progression, split screen and online co-op, fishing, cosmetics, lore and full controller support in place, while accepting that much of the content is hard to find and naming player guidance and content discoverability as the top priority for the first updates. The store notes also state that the base price will rise gradually through Early Access, with a possible small increase at 1.0.
