What is Fallosophy?

Fallosophy is a precision pinball platformer from Irish studio Reliable Plumbing Services, released on Steam for Windows on September 25, 2026. The premise is stripped to two buttons: you climb a colossal pinball table spanning the history of Western philosophy, with no score, no tilts, and no savers. Falling down means climbing back up again.

You play as Baetyl, a lone spark of thought ascending from the cave of ignorance toward the light of understanding, guided by a voice that calls itself the Philosopher King. The launch press release names four themed worlds inspired by major philosophical traditions, running from Classical Antiquity through Postmodernism, each with its own visual theme, mechanics, and soundscape.

The game is deliberately unforgiving: there are no upgrades, no enemies, and no ability unlocks, and a single mistake can cost minutes or hours of climbing. Mastery comes from three flipper techniques the developer names — the edge flip, the bounce, and the cradle. A free demo is available on Steam, and a Nintendo Switch version is planned for Q4 2026.

FAQ

Answers use only sourced facts; unverified items are marked.

What is Fallosophy?
A minimalist pinball platformer by Reliable Plumbing Services, released on Steam September 25, 2026. You use just two buttons to climb a colossal pinball table spanning the history of Western philosophy, with no score, no tilts, and no savers — falling down means climbing back up again.
How much does Fallosophy cost?
The US list price is $9.99 and the launch discount brings it to $8.99 (10 percent off) on Steam. A free demo with its own Steam page lets you try the flipper physics first, and demo saves carried into the full game at launch.
What platforms is Fallosophy on?
Steam for Windows is the only current platform, with full controller support. The official site announces a Nintendo Switch version for Q4 2026; no Mac or Linux builds are listed.
Does Fallosophy have multiplayer?
Local co-op, yes. The launch announcement confirmed two-player local co-op in which each player controls half the flippers — the developer jokes that communication is strongly recommended and trust is optional. There is no online multiplayer.
