Decklings is a single-player resource management and deckbuilding card game from developer Dark Lizard Games and publisher 2 Left Thumbs, released on September 25, 2026 for Windows PC on Steam. It is the game, not the hardware: everything on this page is about the card-stacking creature tamer in which you tame magical creatures called Decklings, explore wild biomes, gather resources, cook meals and craft items to build your base on the path to becoming the Deckling Champion.

The loop is built on cards. Every object in the world is a card, from your Decklings to the resources, food, equipment and buildings, and the core action is stacking one card onto another. Recipes unlock as you explore, letting you craft food, tools and equipment, and Tracks let you stack a Location card with the listed items to capture a new Deckling. Over 100 Decklings are promised, each with its own abilities, stats and specialties, and every one of them needs feeding or it runs away — the hardcore Survival Mode deletes your save if the whole collection flees.

Battles are the other half. Decklings fight in 3v3 turn-based card duels where positioning and elemental type match-ups matter, every creature brings its own skill cards into the deck, and levelling lets you draft new moves or upgrade existing ones. Launch-week coverage describes the split as roughly 70 percent card management and 30 percent combat, and the most repeated caution is that the management overhead is the deciding factor rather than the battling: if dragging, stacking and time management is not your kind of pressure, the game will not convert you.
