Okko The Exiled is a 2D action-adventure platformer from developer Frozen Flame Interactive, published worldwide by Eastasiasoft Limited, released on Steam and GOG for PC on September 30, 2026 at $14.99. The premise: after 1,000 years of concealment, the exiled Okko wields the Mighty Fang and fights through Kutala, a land of demons, to take down the Demon Lord Yalda and link his isolated world with the heavens.
The combat loop is built on four verbs — stomp, launch, deflect and bash — linkable into combos, with Focus Mode adding extra damage and shield-breaking. Between fights, side-scrolling stages hide secrets and collectibles, and The Old Throne serves as a hub where allies sell items, cook meals and help Okko upgrade Heartbeat Energy, Dragon Break Energy and new abilities. Collecting Deevols unlocks Underground challenge levels.
The presentation is meticulously hand-drawn 2D pixel art with fluid animation, first shown publicly at Tokyo Game Show 2025. Consoles follow in early 2027: PS4, PS5, Switch (digital and physical), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game is playable in seven languages and a standalone soundtrack plus a discounted game-and-soundtrack bundle round out the release.
